This year marks 85 years since this legendary piece of legwear made of nylon stockings first appeared in stores. This was preceded by an eventful history.
A true revolution took place in 1939: the invention of nylon. That year, the synthetic substance was presented at the World Fair in New York, the first two letters of the name also come from this city. It's the nylon stocking's birthday! An anniversary of a female classic.

When America actively entered the Second World War in 1941, the nylon factories had to use their capacity and materials to, for example, make fabric for parachutes for the army. The nylon stockings quickly became scarce, but that only further fueled their popularity.
When the production of nylon stockings was resumed in 1945, the scarcity had caused the new production to become a real hype.

The stockings remained popular until the miniskirt was introduced in the 1960s. This was not suitable for stockings with suspenders. This led to the rise of pantyhose.
However, stockings, with a garter belt or handy stay-ups , cannot be written off. Many women still find them more beautiful, elegant and perhaps even more exciting than pantyhose. It is a classic fashion image, an icon from film noir, for example, a symbol that celebrates femininity.

At Stockings To Go you will find everything you need to comfortably wear nylon stockings with a comfortable suspender belt . The result: a beautiful representation of timeless fashion and a vibrant passion for feminine beauty.
